BigDotMedia’s new product called TEVS (Tube Embed Video System) now allows anyone with a server to create their own tube site. See a demo of the TEVS script in action.
TEVS packs enough features to make the $250 license worth it for an aspiring tube site. The script has a mass FHG import feature to make filling up your content database a retardedly simple task. You can legally import pre-defined sets of video clips from sponsor websites like Ztod and BangBros. If you’re smart, you would sign up for the respective affiliate programs and match up the videos with sign-up links and banners to those websites to make the tube site a profitable business model.
However, its primary weakness is the lack of a video converting feature to automatically create streaming flash videos like you see on the mainstream tube sites. Anything other than streaming flash is too laggy for the bandwidth of the average surfer. So if you want to go about implementing ffmpeg conversion, you need to either do it by hand or hack the TEVS script yourself. However, the latter option brings on a whole new set of problems because a task like that will be a heavy burden on your server which can equal a lot of money.
The introduction of scripts like TEVS into the market is that the glory days are over for sites like YouPorn, PornoTube, and xTube. For webmasters, it’s time to move on to the next thing because mass saturation is going to hit critical mass with easy point-and-click tools of creation like TEVS.
